Reply:Pass the light through a specrtometer, and comjpare with standard spectra, you'll soon spot the difference
Reply:Lithium, Strontium and Calcium produce essentially the same flame colourations. What you need to do view the light from the flame (burn a sample of Li, Ca or Sr carbonate or sulfate) with a spectroscope and compare it with the known spectra of these metals.
