Given a cylinder with a surface area of 140 p units squared and a height of 9 units. Find the volume of the c?
The formula for Surface Area = 2*pi*r*(r+h) and this is equal to 140*pi, and h = 9

2*pi*r*(r+9) = 140*pi

Remove pi from both sides and replace h with 9 and divide both sides of the equation with 2, you get

r*r + 9*r = 70

This is a quadratic equation, solve it to get the value of r, and the positive value is 5.

Use that to calculate the volume pi*r*r*h = pi * 5 * 5* 9 = 225 pi units.
Reply:you do pie wich = 3.14 times radius squared times height
