How do I find the area of a trapeziod in terms of a, b, and c??

The vertices of a trapezoid are (0, a), (0, 0), (0, b) and (c, a).

How do I find the area of a trapeziod in terms of a, b, and c??
Your points do not define a trapezoid. I'm assuming that you meant (b,0) and not (0,b). If so then the area is calculated in the following:

A = a*b + (c-b)*a/2

A = a*b + a*c/2 - a*b/2

A = a*b/2 + a*c/2

A = (b+c)*a/2
Reply:You do not have a trapezoid here, your points are incorrect, either a or b needs to be an X value, not a y value. You have a triangle right now
Reply:it's not a trapezoid...check the coordinates...
