Definately get your charging system tested and see if your battery is still good if it is then you should look around the truck since its draining the battery then something must be shorted to a power wire if indeed there is a short look for anything that is staying on like a light , any aftermarket add ons, accesories inside the vehicle etc. since you most likely dont have a wire schematic then its not going to be easy but if you do find something staying on then follow both wires were ever they go and make sure ther arent any shorts anywere . thats about all i can think of. forgot to add autozone does free charging system test and its quick just drive your rig there and let them know
Reply:Have the battery tested with a load tester, if Ok have the charging system (likely the alternatoir regulator is defective). Remember a bad ground will cause the charging system to not work properly as well. It sound like the alt or battery more than a short. To check for a short just remove the neg cable and use a test light and see if it lights up. Good Luck and God Bless
